Honorable Bill M. Osceola (Haneehat-Cochee) bestowed certificate of live birth to Morton H. Silver’s son, Scott J. Silver, in partial payment for Morton’s uncompromising legal services that spanned over half a century.

In 1999 Honorable Co-Chairman Wild Bill Osceola aka Bill McKinley Osceola bestowed citizenship to legal counsel Morton H. Silver and others, per contracts and agreements signed by the Sovereign Miccosukee Seminole Nation, in partial payment thereof for Morton's uncompromising legal services that spanned over half a century. However, the Chief recognized Scott's birth in the Miccosukee Seminole Nation.
